Apparently graveyards are a popular (cliché?) subject for student photographers, particularly those starting in black-and-white. I couldn't resist this photo though, and am quite happy with the result. The graveyard is on Grounds at University of Virginia, on McCormick and Alderman, and Modest Productions filmed part of our latest film there (for which I was cinematographer, cameraman, gaffer, and black-and-white conversion technician; I also cut the trailer).
