When I made this photo, I don't recall if it was before or after a memorial dedicated to (I believe) a friend of mine and fellow photographer was placed adjacent to this wall, in the Student Memorial Garden, on the outside of Newcomb Hall.
Either way, it's sort of a musing on the marks left by living things as they pass through the world and out again.
And of course, I blame the bizarre color on Ektar, recommended to me by that same friend; you can see the color on his are a little odd as well.
